Dashboard Overview

This is the help text the console shows in the help panel on this page.

The dashboard provides security, IT, and compliance teams with a high-level summary of the organization’s current access posture. It is designed to quickly answer three questions: what changed, what looks risky, and what needs immediate action.

Tabs

  • My home — shown first once you pick a role focus (My role focus in the profile menu). It puts the widgets for that role on one page; Tailor my home changes it. A role focus never changes what you can see or do.
  • Statistics — counts, charts, and the risk-based remediation queue.
  • Executive — board-ready posture summary.
  • Security Surface — helicopter-view CISO landing. Shown to owners and managers on The Seed plan or higher.

Key Metrics

  • Employees: Number of unique human identities currently tracked across all connected assets.
  • Assets: Count of applications, infrastructure platforms, databases, and internal tools under monitoring.
  • Open Anomalies: Identified access issues such as ghost accounts, terminated access, or unusual privilege assignments.
  • Pending Reviews: Access certification tasks waiting for approval or remediation.
  • Missing Owners: Resources that have no business owner assigned.

Alerts

  • A banner appears at the top when you have unread critical notifications; click View all to open Notifications. Dismissing it hides it until a newer critical notification arrives.
  • Critical Offboarding Action Required appears on the Statistics tab while departing employees still have pending revocation tasks; click Open Lifecycle Center to work through them.

Risk & Remediation

  • Risk-Based Remediation Queue: A prioritized list of security actions based on risk score, asset criticality, and SLA. It helps teams focus on the most impactful issues first.
  • Dormant Access: Highlights access relationships that have been inactive or unverified for more than 30 days.
  • Stale Privilege Reviews: Tracks privileged access that has not been re-certified within the expected 90-day cadence.

Security Surface tab

  • Summary Bar — five top-line KPIs: surface covered %, active risk findings, ISO 27001 readiness %, identities monitored, open decisions.
  • Posture Radar — Identity, Access, Lifecycle, Assurance, Assets, Posture axes. Dashed gray polygon = the full security surface; purple fill = your current coverage. Gaps are blind spots you can address.
  • Surface Map — four horizontal bands (Exposure, Access, Assurance, Risk), each with five capability tiles colored by status.
  • Time Machine — slider below the summary bar; switch the view to any past monthly snapshot. Hidden chips while no history exists; click “Live” to return.
  • Drill-Down Drawer — click any active tile to see the specific entities behind the metric, then “View full report” jumps to the owning CISO/ISO page.
  • Snapshots are computed on demand when the vCISO Monthly Summary page is opened; history reflects whichever past months your team has opened.

Analytics & Visualization

  • Asset Health: Indicates whether the environment is stable or trending toward higher risk.
  • Anomaly Severity: Distribution of Critical, High, Medium, and Low findings.
  • Anomalies by Asset: Identifies which assets contribute the most unresolved risk.
  • Historical Trends: Visualizes changes in employee counts, assets, and anomalies over time.
