Security Debt Trend
This is the help text the console shows in the help panel on this page.
This report visualizes how your organization’s access-related security debt has changed over time. Security debt accumulates when excessive permissions, open findings, and stale accounts are not addressed — and compounds as the environment grows.
Key Metrics
- Current Risk Score: The average access risk score for the most recent month.
- MoM Change: The change in that score compared with the previous month (positive means risk went up).
- Peak Risk Month: The month with the highest average risk score in the selected window.
- Months Tracked: How many months of data are shown.
Trend Chart
The line chart plots three datasets — Avg Risk Score, Excessive Permissions and Open Findings — across the window you pick with the 3m, 6m or 12m buttons in the table header (6 months by default). Crossing trend lines can indicate that one area is improving while another is degrading.
Monthly Breakdown Table
A row for each month with Avg Risk, Snapshots, Excessive Perms, Open Findings, Resolved, New Access and Revoked, for quarterly business reviews or board-level security reporting. Export with CSV or PDF.
Interpretation
A flat or declining risk score indicates effective hygiene practices. A rising score suggests that new access is being granted faster than old access is being reviewed and revoked.
