# Risk Budget

Risk Budget helps you compare how much money you plan to spend on [risk treatment](https://docs.autociso.io/console/risk/workspace/) with how much [your active risks](https://docs.autociso.io/console/risk/register/) could cost.

### What you see
- **Summary cards**: Active Risks, Total Estimated Exposure and Budgets Defined.
- **Budget Allocations**: one bar per budget showing the amount consumed and remaining. Click **Add Budget** to create one, or edit an existing one.
- **Exposure by Domain**: estimated loss from active risks, split by domain.

### Adding a budget
Enter a **Scope** (e.g. IT, HR, Overall; leave blank for an organization-wide budget), a **Period** (e.g. 2026, Q1 2026) and the **Total budget amount** in USD, then click **Save**.
